RV Rental Advantages for Asheville Visitors

The Western North Carolina (Blue Ridge Mountains) Region Runs on Outdoor Adventure

Asheville sits at the heart of one of North Carolina’s most sought-after outdoor destinations. Within 90 miles: the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Recreational Forest, Chimney Rock State Park, Mount Mitchell, and a calendar packed with festivals, hiking events, and mountain gatherings throughout the year. During peak seasons and major events, hotels across Buncombe, Henderson, and surrounding counties fill weeks in advance at elevated rates. An RV puts you on-site or within minutes of the trailhead — no commute, no inflated nightly rate, no scrambling for a room.

Mountain Camping Without the Logistics Headache

Fireside RV Rental in Asheville delivers your RV directly to approved campgrounds and RV parks throughout the region — fully set up and ready when you arrive. No towing experience required. Whether you’re settling in at Davidson River Campground in Pisgah National Forest, posting up along the Blue Ridge Parkway at Mount Pisgah Campground, or basecamp-ing at Bear Creek RV Park for a week of exploring Western North Carolina, the RV is there when you land.

Group Travel — Fly In, Drive Out

Flying into Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), Charlotte Douglas International (CLT), or Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP)? Fireside can meet you with your drivable RV rental — no rental car, no shuttle, no hotel check-in. Your group lands, loads up, and heads directly to the campground or trailhead. For multi-day adventures in the Blue Ridge Mountains — whether it’s a long weekend at Gorges State Park, a week touring Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or a fall foliage road trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway — that means four to eight people traveling and sleeping together on-site, at a fraction of what multiple hotel rooms would cost during peak mountain season.

Asheville Regional Airport puts you minutes from the heart of Western North Carolina. Charlotte Douglas is roughly 2 hours via I-85 and I-26, and Greenville-Spartanburg is about 75 minutes via I-26 — both well-positioned entry points for Blue Ridge Mountain adventures.

This was the first time I rented an RV and very glad it was with Fireside. They were super accommodating and very quick to respond whenever I had a question. I got a toy hauler to take my motorcycle to a track one state over. The trailer was clean and came stocked with the basics so I had everything I needed. Was glad to have an A/C space to cool down in 90+ degree days! Fireside is the one to call and I will definitely be back when I need another rental!

It's impossible to express our gratitude to George for all he did to ensure we had everything we needed for our group. We rented two RV's and the communication was amazing- not only with George, but his amazing drivers (Ralph & G's father in law)!!! This was our first time renting an RV and George was extremely helpful when it came to helping us navigate the whole process. I don't hesitate to recommend them! Five stars all around!

Our Host was one of the most accommodating hosts I’ve ever had with an RV rental service. He went above and beyond to make sure my partner and I had everything we needed for our anniversary celebration. He was very timely in his responses and attentive to our questions during our stay. The RV was very modern and had a very clean feel to it. It was an overall wonderful experience and if we need to take another trip we will definitely be using Fireside RV rental in the future. 10/10 would recommend!

Can't recommend this company enough! We rented an RV for the weekend and the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. A huge shoutout to George, who was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process and handled every question we had with ease. His instructions and walkthroughs were thorough and clear, which set us up perfectly for the weekend. Thanks to him, we had zero questions or issues with the RV the entire time. It was also incredibly well cleaned at pickup time. If you're looking for an RV for any reason, look no further. This company and their team will take great care of you. We'll definitely be back!

What a great business to rent an RV from! George and David took care of us. Thorough instructions were given when picking up and drop off was seamless - even though we had some trouble with one of the outside cubby doors. George was just a text or phone call away and was an excellent communicator. I can't recommend fireside enough!
